Prospector 14′ Solo

Our most multipurpose solo canoe model yet: a scaled down version of our popular Prospector design best suited for independent backcountry adventure. The Prospector 14′ Solo features a symmetrical hull with moderate rocker for responsive performance. More efficient on flatwater than its tandem counterparts, while maintaining the capacity you expect from a Prospector. Our wooden bench seat can be ordered hung flat or angled depending on your preference (shown angled in product photos). For backcountry tripping we recommend adding the removeable yoke option for ease of use on the portage trail (shown with and without yoke in product photos).

“Since getting my Prospector 14 about 6 weeks ago, I haven’t touched either of my other two kevlar solo canoes (from another brand). I absolutely love the way you can confidently heel and turn the canoe. It’s been great for exploring the black water swamps of the SouthEastern US. It has great carry capacity, the secondary stability is rock solid and I don’t worry about mishaps with the TuffStuff material. This canoe brings me more smiles on the water than anything else I’ve owned or paddled.” – Scott Lynch, South Carolina, USA

“I have the Nova Craft Prospector 14 in Blue Steel. I love it. A real gear hauler, tough as nails and so beautiful. Did a 4 day 3 night trip in the Turtle Flambeau Flowage in northern Wisconsin this summer. Couldn’t have performed better.” – Carl Gunnarson, Wisconsin, USA

“I put my prospector 14 on the roof of my van and traveled from Saskatchewan to British Columbia to paddle for the summer. 15 lakes! Whether it was a day trip or loaded for overnighters, I enjoyed paddling it every stroke!”- Jeffrey Selkirk, Saskatchewan, Canada
