Top 5 Moments of 2025

D

ecember is no doubt a time of reflection and taking stock. While 2025 has presented its fair share of challenges – for us and for many small businesses in Canada – we’re taking this  opportunity to retrospect with some rose coloured glasses on, and to celebrate some of our favourite moments by sharing them with you.

Counting down our 5 favourite moments of 2025!

Helping raise over $30,000 for our favourite provincial parks

In 2025 we supported our partners at Friends of Pinery Park and Friends of Killarney Park by donating canoes for their respective annual fundraising raffles. Between the two raffles, over $30,000 was raised to support conservation and outdoor education initiatives within the parks. Awesome!!!

2025 Hamilton Adventure Expo

The inaugural Hamilton Adventure Expo drew a massive crowd, bringing paddlers, hikers, campers and nature enthusiasts together from far and wide to celebrate all things outdoors. The great news is they’re doing it all again in January of 2026, bringing the event back bigger and better. Grab your tickets for the 2026 Hamilton Adventure Expo here – bonus: your ticket enters you for a chance to win a Nova Craft Canoe Special Edition Prospector 16!

Supporting Paddle Like a Girl x BIPOC Outdoor Gear Library workshop

This spring marked our third consecutive year supporting the annual Paddle Like a Girl X BIPOC Outdoor Gear Library “Learn to Canoe Camp” workshop which offers low cost and inclusive outdoors education programming to women of colour in southwest Ontario. Launch of our Flagship Prospector

Elbows up! This spring we launched a patriotic variation on our bestselling Prospector 16 with a Canadian flag inspired design. Our owner Chris broke in the demo model in Algonquin on his annual spring trout fishing trip with Kevin Callan. On their way out of the park they encountered several moose – can’t think of much that’s more quintessentially Canadian that that!

A Lake Story

A truly special and spectacular collaboration between artists, paddlers and landscape. This project is one we’re grateful to have been a part of this year. Read more about A Lake Story here, or watch the documentary short on Youtube here.
