Tall Tales, Tips and Tricks:
Paddling Georgian Bay’s 30000 Islands

Tim Dyer of White Squall Paddling Centre

Thursday, February 11th 7-9

The northeastern Georgian Bay Coast has been named an International Biosphere Reserve by the United Nations –  a world of renowned diversity of community, geology and ecosystems – and a  paddling paradise with glacier smooth islands, crystal clear water and windswept pine.

The Bay’s powerful landscape (the Group of Seven couldn’t get enough of it!) inspires musicians, poets and artists with it’s mythic and lyrical beauty.

Tim will take you on a paddling journey and you’ll begin to understand why it’s known as the sixth Great Lake.  Through songs and tales the presentation will capture your imagination of lazy summer days, fall gales in the open and ice-cold winter travel.  There are ways to travel the Bay with safety and comfort, and Tim will share not only tricks and tips, but also the missteps and magical moments experienced over a lifetime of being “out there”.
